About me
Hi there! My name is Darian Samuelson, and I’m the High School Science Teacher at Upton High School. I’ll be starting my eighth year this fall, and I truly love what I do.
In addition to teaching, I’m a Student Council Co-Sponsor, Middle School Basketball Coach, and High School Track Coach. Outside of school, I’m a wife and busy mom to three wonderful little ones who keep me on my toes!
Over the past few years, I’ve been honored to receive several awards, including being named the 2022 Wyoming Science Teacher of the Year and earning the 2021 Innovation Award for Student Voice. In 2023–2024, I was recognized as the Weston County School District Teacher of the Year, which gave me the amazing opportunity to join the Level Up Program. Through that experience, I was able to represent education at the state level and work alongside some truly incredible teachers from across Wyoming.
Since the start of my teaching career, I’ve been passionate about using Personalized Learning in my classroom. I believe in meeting students where they are and helping each one grow in ways that are meaningful to them — and I’ve seen firsthand just how powerful that approach can be.
I’m always excited to connect with other educators who share a passion for making a difference!
