About me
As a dedicated educator with 14 years of experience and a single mom, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges families face due to insufficient parental leave policies. My journey has not only shaped my perspective as a teacher but also fueled my passion for advocating for change and creating equitable support systems for parents.
When my daughter was born, I had limited access to paid leave and faced significant hurdles balancing my responsibilities as a teacher and a new parent. These experiences have inspired me to champion policies that support working families, particularly in education and public service.
In my teaching career, I’ve honed my skills in designing inclusive, student-centered curricula, with a current focus on integrating AI into high school English instruction. By incorporating AI tools, I aim to prepare students for the evolving demands of the modern world, fostering critical thinking and technological literacy.
My experiences as an educator and a single parent have given me a unique perspective on the importance of supporting families and adapting education to meet the needs of a changing society—a cause I remain deeply committed to advancing.
